I saw this in quick blurb in my Popular Photography magazine a few months ago and forgot about it. This would be great for those with point and shoot digital cameras.
For only 22 bux, you really can’t go wrong if you’re looking for a “flexible” tripod/mounting system for a camera to help you get those perfect shots. The company, Joby, is also coming up with an SLR version of this.
Benjamin, your mother and I would like to wish you a happy birthday. You’ve filled out lives with joy, love, tenderness, and laughter this first year. You’ve taught us that there is nothing more important than you. People can wait. Activities can wait. You are the most amazing little boy in the whole world and I can’t wait to come home from work each and every night!

A few of my other favorites that I felt I had to post up here:
A bit out of focuse on its face. I was so close, too. :(
After a few weeks of some heavy-duty planning, we had a very nice party for Benjamin. We were afraid of the weather, as it had been raining for weeks, damn near, but it turned out well. The weather cooperated for the most part, only pestering us with gusty winds, 25mph at times, and a bit of seasonally cooler temps (in the low 60s). We had the tent that was planned for the backyard up in the driveway, and we used the garage as the party’s staging area.

For a .99 year old, Benjamin did awesome! He was in the best mood, all day. He even seemed to brighten up and get into it when everyone was singing Happy Birthday for him. We couldn’t believe how energized he got!
See…
I surprised Michelle (and Ben) by having Dave (Pepe), Sarah, and Ellie come in on Friday night from Green Bay. Dave is Ben’s Godfather and insisted on coming. We all thought it would be a great idea (all but Michelle) if we didn’t tell her that they were coming. When I told her I had to get some tables from Costco on Friday night, I came home and walked in with Ellie (8 month old baby girl). Michelle just about flipped out, but Sarah was close behind me, so we didn’t let her have a heart attack!
Thanks to everyone who came to the party and helped Benjamin celebrate his birthday with such joy, happiness, and love. His actual birthday is this Wednesday, when we’ll be taking him to the zoo! Thanks Danielle, Dino, and Angelina, for the Zoo membership for Michelle!
Gramma takes care of me at Kaitelyn’s First Communion after daddy’s been playing with me outside for most of the service. Daddy was so much fun that I wanted to be real talkative during the service. He didn’t mind.
Looking for a job? Want to know which jobs have been growing well over the past few years? Want some more data on jobs and what salary potentials there are? I found a great article this morning on digg.
For those that are trying to manage ALL of the new technology that we’re bombarded with and you DON’T want to call Peter and ask him; I suggest this site:
This seems like a C|Net clone, but it falls under the Yahoo! brand name, which is about as easy to trust for most people as AOL is. (Real techies don’t really trust AOL, but most non-geeks do!)
Well, Ben is almost 1 and he has officially had the chance to experience all the holidays in his first year of life! The past few weekends, he’s had the chance to experience 2 Easters, the one that most Christians celebrate and the one that Orthodox Christians celebrate.
Here are some photos (with links to galleries) of his experience!
A little boy goes to his dad and asks, “What is politics?”
Dad says, “Well son, let me try to explain it this way:
I am the head of the family, so call me The President.
Your mother is the administrator of the money, so we call her the Government.
We are here to take care of your needs, so we will call you the People.
The nanny, we will consider her the Working Class.
And your baby brother, we will call him the Future.
Now think about that and see if it makes sense.”
So the little boy goes off to bed thinking about what Dad has said.
Later that night,! he hears his baby brother crying, so he gets up to check on him.
He finds that the baby has severely soiled his diaper.
So the little boy goes to his parent’s room and finds his mother asleep. Not wanting to wake her, he goes to the nanny’s room. Finding the door locked, he peeks in the keyhole and sees his father in bed with the nanny. He gives up and goes back to bed
The next morning, the little boy say’s to his father, “Dad, I think I understand the concept of politics now. "
The father says, “Good, son, tell me in your own words what you think politics is all about.”
The little boy replies, “The President is screwing the Working Class while the Government is sound asleep. The People are being ignored and the Future is in deep shit.”
